"Close-ups" is a low-key psychological drama telling the story about difficult relations between a mother and her adult daughter, about possessive and harmful love destroying the happiness of the other person.

Three characters entangled in toxic relations with their families have an opportunity to change their lives on the spur of a sudden, unexpected impulse. Chance crosses their path at a meaningful moment, and they inadvertently influence their fate.

It is the mid-1980s. After his mother's death, twelve-year-old Wojtek (Wacek Adamczyk) is living with only his father — his mother died when the boy was still very young. His father is a man of extremely strict principles.
